A LiDAR is an indispensable device for future autonomous vehicles. However, there are many limitations. One of the critical issues is operating under harsh weather conditions. A NIR-based current LiDAR has a critical problem when the vehicle drives in a fogging environment. It is known that the 1.55um wavelength overcomes this limitation, but the water absorption at this wavelength is a little bit high, it is hard to guarantee safe driving under heavy rain.

Our "multi-wavelength SWIR" technology overcomes this limitation and assures exact detection under harsh weather conditions.
