We are a highly technology-driven innovator that specializes in SWIR-based 2D and 3D sensors for next-generation mobility.
To realize safe autonomous driving, mobility-related sensors have to be used under harsh weather conditions. However, unfortunately, all of the sensors are influenced by environmental conditions due to adverse weather. Compare to those of existing NIR-based sensors, SWIR has advantages in terms of fogging conditions, human eye safety, and less interference under the solar spectrum environment. In addition, it can separate ice, water, and snow on the road surface.

Sangsoo Lee, Ph.D. |CEO&CTO at Luxar AI
As a serial entrepreneur, Sangsoo co-founded Luxar AI. Before he corporated luxar, he was a founder of Optella Inc., operated in both CA and S. Korea, and led a successful exit to Cosemi Technologies. After merging with Cosemi, he worked as VP of engineering of Cosemi and CTO of Optella. Now his first company is a part of the public company.
He has worked for Electronics and Telecommunication Research Institute (ETRI) as the principal researcher and director and has over 25 years of experience in photonics technology. As a photonic expert, he has +1,800 google scholar citations, + 50 international papers, and +70 US patents.

Ken served as a chairman of the board at Optella Inc. and greatly contributed to the company’s exit in 2018. Prior to Optella, he was a Chief Executive Officer and President of Reflex Photonics Inc. He also served as a President and CEO at Avrio Technologies, and a marketing and sales Vice President at MRV Communications, and President/General Manager at Luminent (currently known as Source Photonics). He has over 40 years of experience in marketing and management in a North America-based photonics corporation.
